Tania DaSilva holds an Honors Bachelors of Arts and Science Degree, majoring in Psychology and Sociology. She is also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training that she successfully completed at OISE, University of Toronto. Additionally, Tania has experience in Applied Behavior Analysis, and has received certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis for Educators through the Geneva Centre for Autism. Tania also holds an Honors Advanced Child and Youth Care Diploma from Humber College, specializing in counseling, assessment, interventions, treatment and therapeutic activities. She has worked at The Dunblaine School, a school dedicated to students with various degrees of developmental and learning disabilities. Dewson Street Jr. Public School (TDSB) working with the entire population, but more specifically with children with special needs and those in need of emotional and behavioral assistance. She was also part of the multi-disciplinary team at the North York General Hospital in the Psychiatric Unit, specifically in the eating disorder day program. Tania is an active member in her community, working with her parish to help mentor neighborhood youth. She was also a founding member of an organization dedicated to feeding the homeless and has a strong interest in youth justice. In addition, Tania DaSilva is clinically supervised and mentored by Glenn Mitges a Registered Psychotherapist/PH.D. Tania’s passion and love for helping children, youth and young adults overcome challenges, become more independent, as well as successfully reach the full potential of their intellect and abilities has been a driving factor in her success thus far and the reason for the birth of Thrive Therapy.
